HYEDU Education Group formalised a partnership with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and its commercial arm, UMT Holdings, opening new channels for education and industry collaboration with China.

Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) is not just a coastal university — it is an institution increasingly shaping Malaysia's marine science, technology, and sustainability research agenda. Its commercial arm, UMT Holdings, extends that institutional reach into consultancy, aquaculture, energy, and professional services.

HYEDU Education Group's partnership engagement with UMT brought together both the academic and commercial dimensions of the university — a deliberate approach that reflects HYEDU's understanding that the most impactful education partnerships are those that connect classrooms with industry.

The visit, which included meetings at both UMT's faculty and UMT Holdings' offices, explored how HYEDU can support UMT in attracting Chinese academic delegations, facilitating student exchange, and positioning UMT's research and industry capabilities as accessible to Chinese university and government partners.

The energy in the photos from this engagement — delegations in good spirits, thumbs up, informal as well as formal settings — captures something important: sustainable institutional partnerships are built on genuine human connection, not just paperwork.

For universities in Malaysia's East Coast and beyond, HYEDU's network offers a credible gateway into China's vast academic and industrial ecosystem.
